Mission Statement: My belief is that each human person has inherent worth and deserves to be heard, validated and supported
in a therapeutic environment. Thus I attempt to identify with each client so that I can perceive life from his/her vantage
point: then I can partner with each client to move forward, to heal wounded ness that may be interfering with their present
functioning and facilitate the empowered and equipped to live a more fulfilling life. My therapeutic approach varies from
empathic reflection to cognitive-affective-behavioral strategies to transactional analysis, depending on the needs of the
client. Over the many years I have developed a large "toolbox" of practical therapeutic techniques to assist my
clients.
Current professional activities: Mary Lou brings a wealth of experience to her clients of all ages. She loves her work!
Mary Lou directs her skills toward positive, productive changes in relationships with oneself and with others.
Co- and chemically-dependent family issues, dying and bereavement processes, marital, parenting and communication issues
are just some of the key areas on which Mary Lou focuses, along with depression and anxiety.
