Weight Issues
Since the beginning of the practice in 1983, the Center of Health™ has strived to avoid any and all potentially
dangerous or not medically sound methods of weight control. There are five key factors that determine your success or failure.
These groups of issues have proven to be the keys to achieving LONG term controlled weight loss.
We emphasize the issues of LONG term control. As most consumers are now aware, yo-yo dieting is not only counter-productive
but also dangerous. The dangers are not only to a number of organ systems, but also include, your self-esteem. How many failures
can you endure before you give up ?
The five keys to weight loss include:
What you eat, both the quantity and the quality.
What do you do to assist vs sabotage your efforts to lose weight.
If you don't move it (your body) you will not loose it (the fat)...
Hormonal levels are critical to achieving and
maintaining proper weight.
This category includes GI problems, such as candida infections , malabsorption, anemia, food
allergies and other medical maladies that affect cell metabolism.
At the Center of Health™ our first task is to determine the underlying cause of the problem. This consists of a thorough
history and physical, along with a review of your previous medical records, if any, and then a determination to develop a
program based on this information. We may need to utilize additional testing measures depending on your situation. Following
this process, we develop a course of personalized medical care. At the Center of Health™ we have the ability to check
your fat percent levels, along with diet analysis, hormonal laboratory evaluations and the full span of conventional testing
methods.
After careful evaluation a weight loss method from Australia has been integrated into the practice. The UltraLite system
is the based on a mild ketosis, coupled with keeping ones blood sugar in check. This approach is coupled with a very specific
diet and of course exercise. This modification of the Atkins diet approach has proved VERY successful. My first patient lost
65 lbs in 15 weeks. Curiously not one of the now dozen plus patients has experience any level of cravings, nor problems following
the overall program. All necessary supplies and products are available. The program is divided into 5 week segments. The average
weight loss is 22 lbs for female patients and 33 for male patients, per 5 week segment. By combining the above medical approach
and the UltraLite program patients retain their weight loss, continue to feel more energetic and attain a better health profile.
