Dr. Kadish is a graduate of Bastyr University, an accredited naturopathic medical school in Kenmore, Washington. He completed rotations with both naturopathic (N.D./N.M.D.) and allopathic (M.D./D.O.) physicians and is currently involved in medical education and research.

Additional educational background includes an E.M.T. (Emergency Medical Technician) certification from Santa Rosa Junior College in California, a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Montclair University, New Jersey and a B.S. in Natural Health Sciences from Bastyr University, Washington. Dr. Kadish is a diplomat of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine (ABAAM) in Anti-Aging medicine, an area of interest since 1979, when he was the technical editor for the publication, " Life Extension Handbook", published by Endless Horizons.

For three years he also trained in Chinese medicine, while attending the Pacific College of Naturopathic Medicine. As the Chinese approach to health includes all aspects of lifestyle, course work in the culinary arts is an ongoing keynote in our physician's training. This has included the 10 week Confident cooking course. at Allyson's of Ashland, to a number of seminars by local chefs. Cooking, without allergic foods and developing new products, in that arena, have also been an ongoing endeavor.

Dr. Kadish has additional training in the field of clinical ecology, nutrition and environmental intolerance (allergies). In 1989, together with his brother, they constructed a "green" home including solar hot water and other ecologically and health friendly techniques. This hands on approach and continued education in the building field, translates to a better understanding and ability to help patients make safe, cost effective changes, in their home environments. The construction at the Center of Health™, includes non-voc paints and adhesives along with passive electrostatic air cleaners and other healthful techniques to maximize our patient's and staff comfort.

In November 2003, Dr. Kadish completed additional training in Chelation therapy. Chelation therapy is the use of IV (intravenous) EDTA, an amino acid, that effectively results in decreasing toxic elements, such as lead, in the body along with a reduction in cardiovascular problems. The list includes: angina, aneurysm, Alzheimer's disease and senile dementia, arthritis, autoimmune conditions, cancer, cataracts, diabetes, emphysema, gallbladder stones, hypertension, kidney stones, Lou Gehrig's disease, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, scleroderma, stroke, varicose veins, venomous snake bite, and other conditions involving an interruption in blood flow and diminished oxygen delivery. Multiple ACE (Achieving Clinical Excellence) programs, were also completed by Dr. Kadish. These seminars focused on implementing functional advanced laboratory testing. The importance of functional medicine is equivalent to the difference between listening to your car idle vs. actually taking it for a spin. The active (functional), not passive levels of laboratory information obtained by utilizing functional techniques are essential.

Dr. Kadish has been an active participant in the Defeat Autism Now movement and completed both the beginning and advanced courses in the Defeat Autism protocols, per the Autism Research Institute criteria based on their international studies and research . Initial conferences that Dr. Kadish attended began in 1999, with the most recent in October 2010. He is active in the quarterly updates and maintains a focus on the most current work regarding the functional chemistries and updates in this field. Our integration, with our psychological team, for the whole family unit is unique in the field. Clearly the needs of the care givers is an essential aspect of caring for the autistic individual.

Continuing yearly education, far exceeding the licensure requirements, is a consistent achieved endeavor, by Dr. Kadish. Both Allopathic and Naturopathic educational resources are utilized to ensure a well rounded options based practice.
